Traveling is more than just seeing sights and eating well. It's also about meeting new people, both locals and fellow travelers.

We were lucky enough to meet Mrs. Winnie Mandela in one of the corridors while we were touring the Parliament buildings.
Other people we met at Parliament were The Honorable Mrs. Naledi Pandora, M.P. and Mr. Godfrey Cleinwerck, Sergeant-at-Arms.

We met Police Officer Princess Somson, Ruth Ngesana, and Mr. Nicholas Nowatha. Also Zingisa Hilda Dyongo of the Vuzokuhle Educare Center.
Dr. Maishe Maponya, University of Witwatersrand, School of Drama, Johannesburg; Professor Victor Motapanyane, Johannesburg; Mr. Edward Esau, Chief Lay Clerk, St. George's Cathedral Church, Cape Town. Mr. Terry Whitfield, Vice Chairman of the Brettonwood High School in Durban and Mr. Drysdale, Headmaster of the high school. Monica Faith Stewart, a former member of the Illinois General Assembly, who now lives in South Africa. She had come over initially to monitor the April 1994 elections with a Chicago group.

In Dumazulu Kraal one of the persons we met was Sphiwe Madida,Hluhluwe, South Africa.
